Parenting in This Digital Age
I grew up in a time when we didn’t have smartphones. I know…the stone ages, right? But today, I have three sons all of whom have smartphones. My middle son (my teen) has one and so does my youngest son (my pre-teen). As far as my pre-teen goes I just pick up his phone and check what’s going on. He doesn’t have any passwords, etc., that I don’t have but with my teen son the boundaries are a little less clear. I do have all of his passwords but I don’t just snap his phone from his hands and check what’s going on. I trust him but I STILL want to be sure he’s safe and not seeing things he shouldn’t be seeing. I also want to be sure he’s getting the sleep he needs without the temptation of being on his smartphone into the wee hours of the morning. Ahhhh….parenting!

When I gave in and let my two youngest sons have phones of their own I was a bit hesitant to say the least. I was a single mom for a while and even after I remarried I found myself having the majority of the care and raising of the kids in my hands because of my husband being ill. With working, raising the kids, taking care of my husband and taking care of the home I am feeling spread thin to say the least but I am so thankful to have the Teen Limit app to help me and relieve my mind of one very big thing – the safety of my kids.
I heard about the app, researched it a bit and then downloaded it from the Google Play Store and in minutes I was ready to go. I downloaded the Parental app to my phone and the child app to my son’s phone.
Set up is extremely easy and virtually self explanatory.
The Premium version offers:
Geolocation – no more worrying about where your kids are giving them more freedom and you peace of mind.
TeenLimit is a simple tool that will help to mange your teens’ screen time and ensure their online safety.
In this big world that keeps getting bigger it’s a great way to protect the ones you love the most while still allowing them to grow and explore (safely!).
