SWANK New Header with Girl and Pink and Blue Verbage for header CROPPED
My earliest memories are of ‘doing’….
sewing {learning on an old Singer from the 1940’s},
helping my Dad build our house {I’m sure he didn’t mind one bit!?!}
crocheting {I used a big plastic needle and taught myself….oi},
using my knit magic {loved that thing} to make everyone scarfs {okay…they were tubes that looked like colons},
saving scraps of whatever to make stuff later {I hate to waste},
starting my own family newspaper {I got a kids typewriter for Christmas one year and used carbon paper for the copies},
and some other stuff along the way.
I don’t have much time to create now but the feeling of wanting to create…needing to create…has never been stronger.
Most days I just look to see what others are creating and making mental notes of what I want to do
and sometimes I actually do it!
I am married.
I love my husband more today then yesterday…
I have three boys…
each so unique and so wonderful…
each bringing a smile to my face every day….
I work full-time from home….
for several years I was a single mom working up to three jobs at a time…
working in an office….
missing my kids….
but now I am home…
I am a Christian…I have been for as long as I can remember.
I have not always lived the Christian life….
I would love to say that I had…but each day offers a new beginning….
and for that I am thankful.
I like to share my faith…
not insist that someone hear it
but instead that they see it in my life.
I don’t pretend to have all the answers.
I am a homeschooler….
Even before I had kids I knew that I wanted to homeschool them….
It has not always been easy or convenient…
but I am thankful for this time with them….
I know they grow so quickly and each moment I have with them is such a treasure.
When I was younger I studied to be a commercial pilot…..
I love to fly…such a feeling of freedom…
I haven’t flown in years…
but I may again some day.
I love to encourage people and to be encouraged…
I am very shy…
Words escape me most of the time.
I think of things to say or to write but when it comes to
putting them down on paper {or blog} or saying them
there seems to be a disconnect…..sort of a loose wire!
{I’m a hugger…that is what I resort to when the disconnect occurs!}
I love to call myself a homemaker…
to cook, bake, clean, sew, craft, garden and so much more…..
I hope you join me as I do what I can taking one day at a time, sharing my creations and thoughts…..

We are all about feeding the creative side! Especially when you are a mom of many! It’s easy for mommas to get lost and sacrifice their all, but in order to be the best mom, we must continue to be inspired and to set an example of following our dreams and passions!

I thoroughly enjoyed your site and commend you for following your heart and keeping wondrous family traditions. I know I will be speaking for many others when I say “Thank You for the reminder that tradition isn’t just some memory but can and should be an essential building block for future generations to come.” Warren Michaels

I just took a moment to read this! I am so glad I did. What a fascinating back ground you have had! I love that blogging has helped me to “meet” other like minded women, and definitely we all are so different, but it in amazing and beautiful ways.

Your site sounds like a wonderful place to stop in and get refreshed. I also have a wonderful relationship with Jesus. I am disabled but I am not yet bound to a wheelchair. I am on oxygen 24/7.It seems like my brain forgets to tell my body to breathe..Jesus is everything to me and I so look forward to His return..I will stop now before I have written a book..
