My youngest son gets a kick out of fun snacks and with school being back in session I like to surprise him with food he loves and I know is good for him. He’s still in the dinosaur phase, as his bedroom and floor will attest, and dinosaur-shaped food makes him smile (and me too!).
With that in mind we picked up some Tyson® Fun Nuggets on our last trip to Walmart.…
not only because they’re simple to prepare, are made with 100% natural ingredients, and are delicious tasting but because …….
when we buy the package with this little label on the back we can help our local school. (See the end of the post to find out more!)
For the after school snack I wanted to be sure it wasn’t only tasty but something that was good for my kids. I decided to make a prehistoric work of edible art for my little guy using Tyson® Fun Nuggets, grapes, blueberries, Romaine lettuce and an orange.
I arranged Romaine lettuce leaves on the bottom of a tray, added blueberries for flowers, a cluster of grapes for a tree, an orange slice for the sun and then added the crispy on the outside juicy on the inside Tyson® Fun Nuggets and then I let the fun begin.
When the tray was empty (yes…we ate it all) my little guy told me that the snack was extinct….he always makes me laugh!
Education is vitally important for our children and an easy way to help promote that is through the Tyson Project A+™. Look for the specially labeled products (there are LOTS of them and you can find a list with full instructions here) and when you purchase them all you need to do is cut out the label and submit them and the school you nominate will receive CASH that they can use for anything they want which is absolutely awesome!
So what awesome easy after school snack ideas do you have?
