A big hello and welcome to this week’s Project Inspire{d}!  I am so glad that you’re here.  For those of you who celebrated Mother’s Day I hope you had a wonderful one.

My boys made me feel special with breakfast in bed and the perfect cup of coffee {I was wondering why my middle son developed an interest in learning how to make coffee last week…now I know!}.   WP_20140511_09_31_07_Pro[1] They gave me my favorite chocolates ~ a box of Lindt Gourmet Truffles, a rose, cards and dinner out!  I had such a happy and restful day and I hope you did, too.

I have a new blog design ~ I worked on it all weekend and still have some tweaking to do but let me know your thoughts ~ if you don’t like it please be gentle with me and if you do like I’d love to know as well.  I rolled out Ms. Cupcakes and Crinoline to give the blog a new look and to usher in some fun and exciting new adventures here ~ my goal is to blog  with more consistency and actually PLAN posts in advance.

This Week’s Features

My pick of the week is this Kid Created Garden Trellis from 3 Little Greenwoods.  I really like the look of this trellis AND more importantly the fact that little hands can make it.  I want to make one of these with my two youngest sons in the next few weeks.  I remember spending time with my Dad in the garden when I was little and those were some great memories and those times helped develop my love for gardening and the outdoors {not like hiking or climbing mountains but digging and planting}.

Malia’s Pick ~ Speckled Robin’s Egg Sugar Cookies from Simply Suzanne’s ~ aren’t these pretty?

Steph’s Pick ~ DIY Card Holder from HomeMadeville ~ so pretty and unique!

Diane’s Pick ~ Drop Cloth Fabric Flower Pins from Green Willow Pond.  These flowers would be so much fun to make for different outfits and put on shoes, coats, purses, flip flops…the possibilities are endless.  I think I’ll put out my old jean jacket and add some splash for the summer.
