Polka Dot Pot – A Last Minute Christmas Craft

Christmas is a coming but there’s still time to make some quick and easy crafts. This Polka Dot Pot is the perfect container for wrapped candies, in this case mints, or any other candy you would like.  You could mass produce these babies and use them for Teachers, Coworkers, Neighbors, just about anybody on your gift list.

Polka Dot Pot Teacher's Gift  You only need a few inexpensive items to make these:

Polka Dot Christmas Pot from Cupcakes and Crinoline

Terra Cotta Jar ~ this is about 4.5 inches across and 4 inches high, Red Paint, White Paint, Glitter or Diamond Dust, brushes and wrapped candies.

Polka Dot Pot Step 1

Step 1:  Paint the bottom of your pot (not the rim).  Paint dries unbelievably quick on terra cotta so you’ll be ready for step two in less than 30 minutes.

Polka Dot Pot Step 2

Step 2:  Using a round dauber brush, pounce the white paint over the pot in a random fashion sprinkling the Diamond Dust or Glitter over the wet paint so it will stick.

Step 3:  Paint the rim white.

Add some wrapped Peppermints or other wrapped candy of your choice…the Peppermints look cute so that’s why I used them but so would candy canes or other Christmas Candy.
