Glow-in-the-Dark Ghost Necklace ~ Quick and Easy Kids Craft

22 Flares 22 Flares ×

I love almost anything glow-in-the-dark {think cute…NOT spooky}.  I’m so glad to still have one little guy who shares my love of cool kidsy crafts.

These little necklaces are extremely EASY to make and if you let them charge {hang around a light source} they’ll glow for hours.

When little guy {and me…yes..these look great with jeans and a T} aren’t wearing ours I hang them from lamps so they glow at night.

You could even make up a bunch of these for a garland.  The ideas are limitless.

Supplies:

Gooey Glow Glue if you want your necklace to glow or regular Elmer’s type school glue

Parchment Paper

Small Hole Puncher

Sharpie {permanent marker}

String

1.  Line a baking sheet with the parchment paper.

2.  Freehand a little ghost ~ just about any ghoulish shape will do.

3.  Let the outline ‘dry’ for about 5 minutes and then fill in. This doesn’t have to be smooth or perfect ~ just fun!

4.  Let dry for 24 hours.

5.  Give your little ghost eyes and an ‘O’ mouth.

6.  Punch hole in head and add string.

Wear and enjoy!

  4. Can I use wax paper instead of parchment paper? And where do I find that type of glue?

    • Hi Charity,

You can use wax paper ~ just be sure to let the ghosts dry for 2 full days before attempting to remove it from the wax paper sheet. Also, I found the glue locally and on Amazon but you can make your own by mixing a little bit of glow in the dark paint with a bottle of white glue {school glue} and use that instead of the ready made glue.

      I hope that helps!

      Thanks for stopping by,

      Mary Beth
