Have you noticed a new trend in lighting and decor in general? The Industrial Look, or Steampunk as some call it, is making it’s impact felt.
When I think Industrial I think cold but the newer trend is more sleek and chic. One of my favorite industrial looks is that expressed in lighting especially with Edison Bulbs.
The Edison Bulbs have a charming yet fresh look to them. They make use of carbon fibers and the light is more of a glow which reminds me of embers in a fire. I put together a few of my favorite lighting fixtures and looks using Edison Bulbs.
This would be so pretty for a wedding ~ even the wires at the top add to rather than distract from the total look and feel.
The Edison Bulbs came in a wide range of shapes with even the filament making an artistic statement.
Another use for Mason Jars ~ Edison Bulb Light in a Mason Jar ~ so stylish!
This would look so retro-chic on a desk ~ such a unique lamp.
Here is an array of different ways to incorporate the bulb into your home ~ most of these would be great DIY projects.
I have been putting off redoing the bedroom of my younger two sons but I think I’ve found the style I was looking for. I’ll be adding inspiration to my Pinterest Board ~ Industrial Steampunk Decor.
These are from Antique Farm House ~ they currently are available 6 bulbs for $32.00 which is a great deal!
What do you think of Industrial Steampunk Decor for the home ~ is it a yay or a nay?
