You can make your own bracelet {perfect for summer} in just minutes for less than $2.00.  This bracelet is so easy to make you can get the kids involved and make them by the batch.

You can make them in bright summery colors, basic colors or use multiple colors of cord all for the same bracelet  ~ these are so versatile and cute ~ stack them in sets or wear them alone.  The options are limitless!

 What you need:

 Button ~ A button with a shank on the back would be optimal but a 4-holed or 2-holed button also works

Braiding cord ~ color of your choice

Charms ~ I chose charms with a larger hole at the top to avoid having to use a jump ring but if your charms have a small hole use jump rings as needed

Measure and cut your cording to approximately 54 inches in length ~ fold in half and then half again so that you have four rows.

 Insert your cording evenly into your button ~ through 4-holes, 2-holes or all four through the shank.

Make sure that the button is evenly placed but if it isn’t as long as it is close to being centered you’re all good! {you can always even out the ends later}

 Next, place a charm on 2 of the rows of cording anywhere you desire ~ this will all depend on how many charms you are using as you will want them to be evenly placed throughout the brace.

Now tie a knot using all four cords of the bracelet.

Continue adding charms and tying knots ~when you are all done adding your charms tie a knot at the very end and cut it off evenly.  {I also added a knot at my button end at this point to secure things up a bit.}

And there you have it ~ a cute little button corded charm bracelet!

    Neat Idea for the bracelet.I will have to remember this for the grandgirl to do. If I won a fabulios gift card from Home Depot I would have to have my hubby help pick out goodies. I have learned after 38 years to NOT get him a surprise gift!Hahaha

    Dear Mary Beth,
    that bracelet is very beautiful!
    Can you just explain to me how you insert the cording into the button?
    Where to begin?
    Thank you…

      Hi Astrid,

      I folded the length of cord in half and then used the two cut ends to make an X through the button {I used a 4-holed button} pulling the ends down until they were even with the ‘looped’ end ~ leaving all four lengths even. I hope that made sense.

      Thank you so much for stopping by ~ Mary Beth
