Faux Gilded Pears

439 Flares 439 Flares ×

It’s time to start getting your Christmas/Holiday craft on and Mod Podge makes it easy with so many great crafting products.  I made several crafts using the items I received from Plaid {you can see my haul video here} including these easy papier mache faux gilded glitter pears.

Products used:

Mod Podge Super Gloss

Folk Art Metallic Acrylic Paint in Pure Gold

Folk Art Chunky Glitter Acrylic Paint in Gold

Mod Podge ® Rub-On Transfers – All Holidays/Seasons

Papier mache pears

1.  Paint the pears with two coats of the metallic paint in pure gold allowing the paint to dry between coats.

2.  Apply two coats of chunky glitter paint in gold, again, allowing the paint to dry between coats.

3.  Apply the rub-on transfers to the pears.  I added six {6} transfers in total ~ one to each side of the pears to allow for different combinations of sayings.

4.  Apply a finishing/top coat of the Mod Podge Super Gloss to each pear.

5.  Embellish with string/twine and felt flowers with chunky glitter added to highlight if desired.
