It’s that time of year…time to start decorating for autumn! Looking to save some $coin$ but wanting to change things up a bit I decided to make a new autumn garland on the cheap. I found these awesome paper leaves {with wire so they’re bendable} at Dollar Tree ~ I bought a package of the brown leaves and a package of the yellow/orange tipped leaves.
I also bought a package of these lightweight little pumpkin/squash thingies at the Dollar Tree. I hot glued some twine to them to hang from the drapery hooks. The drapery hooks are from YEARS AGO ~ I think I got them at Tuesday Morning ~ the price was $3.99.
I brought a stick in from outside {my trees have been in shed mode for the last year….I have sticks, branches and LOGS everywhere in my yard}. The last thing I threw onto the garland was some raffia that was also a blast from the past. I think I bought this package when my oldest was a little guy….so that was ages ago and I also added a little wooden birdhouse that I had painted and intended to put on my red garden ladder but the little birdhouse never made it out of my craft room.
I may be moving the swag to my living room or kitchen but for now I have it on a window frame that I bought at a yard sale a few years ago up against a window in my sun room with some shutters behind it.
Linking to these lovely places!
