I love this time of year… fresh produce abounds at the Farmers Market and organic fruits and vegetables are readily available! This past Saturday my husband and I purchased some fresh delights and have been enjoying them daily since…. I can hardly wait to see what we find this upcoming weekend.
The cucumbers above were used in my creamy sweet & sour cucumber salad, the peaches are going into a peach pie that will be baked hopefully today and the tomatoes have been on our lunch sandwiches.
There were 1/2 dozen Amish cookies in each bag {by the time I took the picture the family and I had polished off a few}. The blackberries are a little sour so they will be used in a blackberry cobbler dessert.
This cantaloupe was huge… my husband cut it up yesterday for a snack…there is enough to feed the neighborhood!

Wow! Those are really some fabulous finds! I envy you. Even if I knew where the farmers market is in our local town, I have no way to get there. All the reliable vehicles are gone during their working hours.
