My mother’s mother {Grandma G} was a teeny little woman with big brown eyes and porcelain skin whose home and appearance were always impeccable.  I have so many good memories of her – the scent of fresh soap that was always around her and her love of entertaining and generosity to name a few.  I remember the way she decorated and wanting to grow up to have a home just like hers.  She passed away a few days after my 16th birthday and her items remained in my parents basement until a few years later when my mom started to clear things out.  I was 20 at the time, already married, and my mom gave me a box of ornaments that she {my mom} considered old.  She was going to throw them away if I did not want them.  I am forever grateful that I found the beauty in the contents of that box and have those treasures to share with my family each and every Christmas.

I found the bubble lights a few years ago at a local gift shop and they are the perfect complement to my vintage memory tree.

memory lane Christmas hugs, mb
