I guess my mom cheated though as we do it in the pressure cooker, so it's literally just a few minutes to make. I actually have some on the stove now. Forgot how long to cook. Thanks. Usually after the potatoes and cabbage are done I get a big pan under the strainer, the juices I turn into gravy with alittle bit of flour and milk.
